WALK LIKE A MAN
Walking around
When it comes to body care and cosmetics, what man thinks about his feet? But particularly in the summer, when we are walking around in open-toed shoes or barefoot, male feet that are well taken care of are a pleasant sight. Even just a little bit of care will make your feet look good.
About a quarter of all bones in your body are in your feet. The toes and the soles of your feet are crossed by a particularly thick network of tactile nerve cells. A short foot massage can do wonders. It’s best to begin with a relaxing foot bath of about 10 to 15 minutes. Aromatic, therapeutic bath products combine pleasant fragrances with a refreshing cooling sensation. The water in the foot bath prepares your feet for additional care by making your skin and toenails soft and pliable.
Self-Made man
For the "self-made man", it’s a good idea to purchase a simple nail care set from a chemist’s shop. After your foot bath, you can simply rub off annoying thickened skin with a soft cloth. This promotes circulation. To remove hardened skin areas, try rubbing the skin with a pumice stone. The result is lovely, soft skin.
To prevent toenails from becoming in-grown, they should be cut straight across – not rounded, like fingernails. Men often neglect to file their toenails. Filing does have its advantages in that no hanging nail edges get stuck on your socks and you don’t have to worry about scratch marks on your skin. After filing, you should cut back or remove the cuticles from around your toenails. To do so, use a nail cuticle remover.
More relaxing
As the final, crowning step, treat your feet to even more relaxing tender loving care with a moisturising creme. You will see that your feet will look and feel good longer and will better withstand summer heat and salt during your next game of beach volleyball.
