FRESHEN UP! PART 3

Vacation for the skin
A mask on your skin for 15 minutes is just like a mini vacation; it pampers the skin and lets you relax at the same time. This extra measure of moisturiser also helps to balance your skin when it’s been particularly stressed, tired, feels dry or looks pale. Masks give the skin intense beauty power: they not only contain all the important ingredients in concentrated form but the mask allows the skin to heat up slightly so that the pores open up enabling the ingredients to penetrate easily. So while you take a break for 10 or 15 minutes and lie on the sofa or stretch out in the bathtub, the moisturising mask is getting your skin back into shape. Make sure to remember that before applying a mask, you thoroughly cleanse your skin with a gentle cleansing cream or a moisturising cleansing wipe – only when it’s clean is your skin best able to absorb the ingredients.
