Where you find warmth

People prefer to be warm. We feel the most comfortable at around 20°C. When the temperature drops below that, the body has to work to feel comfortable and stay healthy. Luckily, there is a number of things that we can do to help keep us warm. They also make the cold months more enjoyable:

Heat from the outside
What could be nicer in the cold than warming up before a toasty, open fire? To stay comfortable outside in cold weather, these new fire pits make for a warming solution with atmosphere. They replace outdoor stoves and are also mobile enough to be used in your backyard as well as meeting friends during outdoor activities. They come in many different designs, from modern to rustic in both metal and stone. Like a grill, you can also fill them with coal and charcoal brickets, as well as wood. You can even find pre-processed wood logs with wicks that are as easy to light as candles.

Warmth from within
When cold and moisture does get into your bones, then warmth from within is required. Why not grab the good old Thermos flask? Many of them can be used not just for hot tea or hot chocolate, but also for hot soups and broths. Hot food is also an excellent energy supplier, giving you strength to stay warm in an additional way – by moving around. Lengthen your playground season a bit and delight your children by bringing along a hot snack.

Do not get cold to begin with
If you don’t want to freeze, keep moving around as much as possible. Circulating your blood through exercising your muscles produces enough warmth to allow you to brave colder temperatures. Modern slip-on shawls are pullovers that consist of a knitted shawl with shoulders. They ensure that you neither freeze when you start off nor are sweating when you arrive. Moreover, your skin, particularly your face and hands, are exposed to the cold in the winter months. That is why it is best to take care of them regularly with a moisturising cream that best matches your skin type.
