So disappointed
Zoe
I had the old version of this lip balm in every bag and pocket. The formula has changed, it's too waxy and the fragrance is over powering, now use La Roche Posay even though it's twice the price...sad

A Great Product Ruined!

What has Nivea done to their Hydro Care Lip Balm? Their so-called "New Melt-Formula" is just horrible! It is just nasty and so greasy that you might as well rub lard on your lips! The only thing that is worse than the greasy feel is the vile, highly perfumed formulation, that leaves a such a horrid, vile taste in your mouth. The manufacturers have really got this product so wrong I'm afraid. I have used Nivea Lip Balm for years and years. Well, no more, unless they revert to the original formula. If this "Melt-In" formula is all that Beiersdorf Nivea will be offering in the future, then I will be looking elsewhere for a good, effective lip balm that I can use

Horrid, awful new formula.

I have used hydro care for many many years finding it the best balm on the market. I am so disappointed it has been changed. It’s now thick like Vaseline, goes white and DOES NOT melt in well at all. It feels horrible on the lips and does not moisturise and actually dries my lips out. I will now have to try and find something else. Please please listen to the majority of bad reviews since you have changed the formula. I have looked back 2 months already and haven’t found one good review of the new one.

Unhappy with the new formula
Judy
I discovered Hydrocare a couple of years ago after a recommendation from a friend, I'd always used Nivea skin products as I have always found they do a fantastic range of non perfumed products, however I was a committed plain Vaseline customer of over 15yrs for my lipcare however since changing to the Hydrocare I hadn't looked back until now As a person with really sensitive skin changing products can be an absolute nightmare. The new formula is not compatible with my skin and has caused my lips to be extremely cracked and sore, I am currently resorting to scraping the remains with my nail from 1 I had replaced with the new formula which I had luckily not disposed of in the hope of resolving my extremely sore lips caused by this new formula looks like I will have to go back to Vaseline I have searched over 20 stores trying to find old stock to no avail. I am currently resorting to scraping the remains with my nail from 1 I had just replaced with the new formula which I had luckily not disposed of but looks like I will have to reluctantly go back to Vaseline. I have scored a 1 as I couldn't give a zero but I am extremely unhappy with this new I am currently resorting to scraping the remains with my nail from 1 I had just replaced with the new formula which I had luckily not disposed of but looks like I will have to reluctantly go back to Vaseline product.

Why change it?
Melissa
I used to love this this. Would regularly buy and have several on the go at any one time. But the last one I bought was different. It doesn't smell nice and it's tastes weird too. The old one never really had a smell or taste. Also doesn't seem to moisturise and it's really sticky to the point where my lips stick together. Lips feel awful after using it. Really disappointed and won't be buying it again.
