NIVEA MEN Hydrocare Hydrating Liquid Moisturiser 120ml

Not having tried a liquid moisturiser before I was very curious to try this because of its actives. First impression was positive, it's nice to see this type of lightweight liquid moisturiser targeted at men. The formula felt very light and absorbed quickly without leaving any greasiness or film, which I really liked. That said, the fragrance is quite noticeable and there's a slight cooling sensation that made it feel more like a toner at first. Because of how light it is, I found I needed more than one application to get the level of hydration I usually go for. After a week of use my skin looked more even and felt smooth, with no breakouts or irritation which is always a good sign. It also didn't make my skin oily. I did though feel as it lacks some of that richness that other moisturisers have. It best fits into my routine as morning or post shower, but it's too light for me to use before bed. Overall it's a good lightweight option, more as a refresher rather than my main one.

A very effective hydrating liquid moisturiser. Rubs on to skin well and is fast absorbing leaving a smooth and hydrated face. Unlike a cream lotion this rubs in well even with stubble on the face.

This is good for hydration without heaviness. This is a very thin liquid and not a cream, so it does take a bit of getting used to. I found that it absorbed quickly int my skin and it wasn’t greasy so didn’t leave any residue. I found this to be particularly useful after shaving as it provided a much needed moisture boost and really absorbed into my skin which can be quite tight after shaving and it felt very smooth and hydrated. This is a clear liquid with very few ingredients and so it doesn’t offer much beyond good hydration, for example SPF or other advanced benefits, so specific skin concerns may need something more targeted.
