I've used the old version of the face wash for quite a few years. I've now tried to use this new version for a couple of days and threw it out tonight. It smells too bad and the texture is all wrong. Why replace a good product with this?
I used this facial wash for two decades without a single issue. It was my absolute go-to, trusted product. Unfortunately, whatever ingredients they changed in this new formula have completely ruined it. ​After washing my face with the updated version, I suffered a severe allergic reaction. My eyelids became incredibly swollen, bright red, and tender, while my chin developed an intensely itchy rash. I had to stop using the product immediately and am now spending weeks repairing my compromised skin barrier with antihistamines and thick healing ointments. ​It is incredibly disappointing when a brand ruins a perfect formula. If you are a long-time user or have sensitive skin, do not assume this new version is safe for you just because the old one was. I will not be purchasing this again.
I have used this product for 30 years so would consider myself a very loyal customer. Sadly, never have completely changed the formula. The texture of the gel has changed. It is now sticky and does not spread properly. There is a very strong aloe vera smell and the product makes my skin sting. I don’t understand why Nivea has messed with such a successful product. After 30 years, I’m switching brands.
