Ruined my eye lids

This is the first time a Nivea product damaged my skin. Used their blue eye makeup remover for a long time and I thought it would be nice to try a vitamin c one. I don't know what's wrong with it, but my eye lids felt like they had small cuts and would be very painful when randomly touched. I also had peeling skin at the corner of my eyes. As soon as I stopped using it, all this went away. I never had issues so badwith any cosmetics or cleansers before. I use vitamin c serums (not Nivea) without problems.
