Extra Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

I'm disappointed with this product as it is not as effective as the last bottle I bought. I realise it now needs to be shaken but it is still not as efficient at removing mascara.

I use the original Nivea eye makeup remover and I absolutely love it, doesn’t sting and works so well. Used this version as I have sensitive skin and wanted to see if it makes a difference. Awful, doesn’t take off makeup at all and despite claiming to be extra gentle it stings my eyes so so badly. I had to use regular micellar water to try to get off my eye makeup and it worked better than this. Definitely buy the original version instead of this even if you have sensitive skin!

This is terrible. No matter how much you use, and in what method, it’s incapable of removing all eye makeup, especially when it comes to liquid eyeliner. The irony of it being ‘extra gentle’ when you literally have to scrub your eyelids for it to have any impact, was not lost on me. My eyes have been left sore, dry and puffy and with a faint outline of eyeliner that just won’t budge. The Nivea Double Effect Waterproof remover is far superior, removes the most robust of liners and mascaras, and is so much gentler on the eyes. The only reason I went for the ‘Extra Gentle’ is because the ‘Double Effect’ formula was out of stock. Save your money - and your eyelids - buy the Double Effect version instead. Great value for money and you won’t wake up feeling like you’ve been crying in the Sahara desert on a windy day.
