Meet Imogen Cribb

Myself being the face of NIVEA SUN Protect and Bronze exclusively in Superdrug still hasn’t quite sunk in...
To share a little context, my name is Imogen Cribb and I’m a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle creator. My journey with NIVEA

I absolutely love what I do, as I just love to share. Sharing tips, tricks and everything in between is my passion. Which leads me to this collaboration with NIVEA SUN, a brand that has been a staple in my family for years. Every time I open a bottle of NIVEA SUN SPF, that scent just takes me straight to somewhere with a warm evening breeze, blue waters, and that gorgeous sunny weather. But there is a misconception that I’m here to talk a little more about...

SPF tips

SPF is something that I think, by now, we all know we need to be applying all day every day, not just when it’s sunny, or when the weather picks up a little, but even when it’s cloudy.  It’s all down to the UV factor as it penetrates even through clouds. UV damage can lead to premature aging, sunburn (the obvious one), collagen and elastin breakdown, discolouration, and even skin cancer. So, SPF is this amazing product that can help protect our gorgeous healthy skin

But the point of my blog is that I know it’s hard sometimes to remember to apply when it comes to the everyday and juggling a million and one things. Rushing to get ready and rushing to get out the door. Whether you didn’t have time to apply your SPF or that you completely forgot. But from personal family experience, let me tell you it is so so important to remember or make it a habit in your daily routine so that you simply don’t forget.

Making SPF part of my daily Routine

When getting ready in the morning, I always use face SPF as my first skincare step before applying makeup. Reach for the NIVEA SUN UV Face Invisible Daily Fluid SPF50+, it has a super invisible finish, making it the perfect base for the rest of your products and it also doesn’t pill, which is definitely what we want. Something else you should always consider when getting ready for the day is making sure that you’re taking extra precautions to protect those sensitive areas, for example, I always make sure I’m packing sunglasses in my handbag and wearing a hat when needed!

Remembering reapplication

A super-important tip is to always make sure you apply two fingers' lengths of sunscreen. NIVEA SUN offers a whole range of products suitable for different skin types that won’t clog your pores and of course provide that needed care for your skin too, so there really is no excuse not to apply!  Especially now that I’m living in Brighton, when we do get a sunny day, I make sure to reapply every 2 hours.

Finding my perfect SPF

Now, let’s get back to talking about the NIVEA SUN Protect and Bronze, you know that bottle in Superdrug with that gorgeous Imogen Cribbs’ face on, Hehe I joke, I joke.

Like I said, this product has been in my family for years, not to mention that when I told my mum about this collaboration, she decided to pull an album together of all the times she’s taken it away with her. She’s very enthusiastic about this collaboration if you couldn’t tell… When it comes to sun sensitive skin, another thing that runs in our family, is that I have to be so careful when using SPF products - the wrong ones break me out in rashes and hives, which, when you’re on your holibobs, enjoying your time, it really is the last thing you want. This is why the NIVEA SUN Protect and Bronze has stuck with me for years, it’s the first product I’m grabbing to pop in my suitcase or to take with me down to the beach on a sunny UK day, if we’re lucky enough to get one. Not to mention how this SPF gives me the most gorgeous natural glow - now who wouldn’t want that too?
