Nivea Soft 500ml

I’m joining the many 1 star reviews here expressing their disappointment in the reformulation of Nivea Soft. If you want to call it that. It’s a completely different product, different scent, different texture, different everything - it’s not a reformulation and shouldn’t be sold under the same name. I haven’t been using it for decades like some others here, but I began using it more recently with the old formula. I have had horrendous callouses on my feet for almost a decade, but within a week of using the old nivea soft they almost went away. I went to restock, saw they only had the new formula and tried it and have been severely disappointed. Don’t buy this thinking it’s anything like the old stuff. Bring back the old product and sell it separately. Potentially sell this under another name to give vegan people the opportunity to still buy it (although there are plenty of better vegan alternatives out there). Do something about this!

I’ve used Nivea Soft since it came out nearly 30 years ago and I’m gutted they’ve changed the formula. It’s a completely different product which succeeds in being simultaneously greasy and drying. It is much thinner and doesn’t sink into the skin easily making the skin feel tight and dry. My skin has never felt worse.

I’ve been a long-time fan of Nivea Soft. However, after using the new vegan formulation and I have to say I’m incredibly disappointed. The original Nivea Soft was a staple in my skincare routine—light, non-greasy, and left my skin feeling moisturized without any residue. The texture was perfect, and it absorbed beautifully, leaving my skin soft and refreshed. Unfortunately, the new vegan formula just doesn’t live up to that standard. The first thing I noticed was the change in texture. The new formula feels heavier, almost waxy, and doesn’t spread as smoothly as the original. It takes more effort to work it into my skin, and even then, it seems to sit on the surface rather than absorbing fully. I’ve also noticed that it leaves a slight residue, which I never experienced with the old version. But the biggest letdown is how it leaves my skin feeling. The old formula kept my skin hydrated all day, but the vegan version doesn’t seem to have the same staying power. My skin feels dry again after just a few hours, and I’ve had to reapply more frequently, which is frustrating. I appreciate Nivea’s effort to create a vegan product, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of quality. This new formulation just doesn’t measure up to what I’ve come to expect from Nivea Soft. I hope they consider revisiting the formula, because as much as I want to support a more ethical product, I also need it to work as well as the original.
